A love of music brought these boys together via a Youth in Blues Workshop held by the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society.
Returning from standing ovations at the International Blues Challenge Memphis in 2017, Limelight continued as a three-piece and has been winning audiences with their own spin and interpretations of jazz, fusion and blues. Releasing their first CD “Living on the Low Line” in 2018, the boys have performed alongside and with international stars Lloyd Spiegel, Geoff Achison and Fiona Boys.
Their outstanding musicianship coupled with their ability to make each song sound unique propels them into a genre of their own. Brothers Hayden on guitar and Cameron on bass innate talent on their instruments coupled with Harvey’s family tradition of drumming make them a three piece force to be reckoned with. At the young age of 11, Harvey was voted into Drumtek’s top 10 best young up and coming drummers in 2016. With a relentless thirst for becoming the best musicians possible, all boys continue to hone in their skills with guitar virtuoso Jay Smith and drummer Alex Deegan.
Limelight continue to gain rave reviews for their musicianship wherever they play which includes festivals such as Echuca Winter Blues, Castlemaine Jazz and Eltham Jazz as well as various venues around Melbourne.
